Hi, I'm Nat — I started Lescent in late 2024, in my tiny apartment on the Gold Coast, QLD, working out of my guest room.

I was burnt out from a corporate job and lighting a candle at night was one of the only things that helped me switch off. But I got sick of candles that melted into a lopsided mess after two uses, or came scented with something I hadn't chosen. So in my spare time, I started experimenting with pearled wax — my first batch was 11 candles I gave to friends and family.

That first small batch is now in hundreds of homes across Australia.

The name Lescent comes from the French "le scent" — "the scent" — because scent is so tied to memory and mood. Our candles are unscented by design: you add your own essential oils, so the same candle can feel calming one night and energising the next.

Every Lescent candle resets after each burn. No misshapen wax, no mess — just something you'll actually want to light again.
